Overview

AutoCapture is an easy-to-use capture component in AutoStore that allows users to send and archive digital content in any format directly from their desktop us. Here's how it works: An administrator creates workflows within the AutoStore Process Designer (APD) around specific rules based on individual business needs, such as capturing a resume for a Human Resources department. All the user has to do is right-click on a document file, select from available workflows, and then capture the document directly into the server-based workflow that routes into their document management system.

Use Case

AutoCapture is an add-on that can be used to build a simple way to control document storage on a file-server. The system can also be used to complement an existing document management system by an affordable client that needs to integrate into many different, centrally-managed business applications.

  • Simple document storage on a file-server, using index information (e.g. \customer\document type\title.pdf)
  • Complementing a document management system which only works via web clients and lacks easy ways to upload documents
  • Be a unified capture client in environment where various back-end systems are being used, but one client in the front-end would be required
Features
