Mehdi Tehranchi is a co-founder of Notable Solutions, Inc. With more than 20 years of software experience, Tehranchi has been the driving force behind NSi’s growth and innovation.
Under Tehranchi’s leadership, NSi has become a leading provider of paper and electronic content capture and business automation solutions. This success has resulted in more than 30,000 NSi AutoStore servers being deployed around the world and revenues nearly doubling from the company’s fiscal year 2008 through 2010. With total customers for NSi products topping the 8,000 mark for the first time during fiscal year 2011.
Tehranchi continues to be successful in building NSi’s international presence by expanding the company’s operations in Latin America and Europe. With revenue outside of North America represented more than 40 percent of the company’s fiscal year results.
Prior to starting NSi, Tehranchi successfully managed a private telecommunication consulting company with contracts representing major telecom companies such as Bell Communication Research (BellCore) and MCI. He also served as NSi’s Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer before being named the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Tehranchi has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Ali Tehranchi is a co-founder of Notable Solutions, Inc. Tehranchi has more than 16 years experience in the electronic content capture industry. Throughout his tenure at NSi, he has been responsible for managing the operations of the company. Additionally, he successfully manages NSi’s partner programs by establishing long term strategic partnerships with companies such as Xerox and Ricoh.
Prior to co-founding NSi, he held senior technical positions at GTE Vantage Solutions, Ideas Commercial Systems and Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Tehranchi holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University.
Principal, Edison Ventures
Totia is responsible for leading Edison Ventures investments in companies primarily located in the mid-Atlantic region. He focuses on software sectors including mobility, real-time infrastructure, information services and on-demand applications. He also leads Education investments in K12, higher education and online sectors.
Totia is on the board of five Edison investments including Agentek, Innovectra, Presidium, NSi and Regent. Prior to joining Edison in 2007, Totia was with Lazard Technology Partners, a $400 million dollar venture fund. There he co-led the enterprise software investment practice that backed portfolio companies Vocus (NASDAQ: VOCS), Managed Objects (sold to Novell), BoxTone, Cyveillance (sold to Qinetiq), Interwise (sold to AT&T) and Intellitactics.
Before joining Lazard in 2000, Totia held product management and operations leadership positions with the Thomson Financial Equity Research division. Totia is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in finance from Virginia Tech University.
John R. Nyland
John Nyland is a 31 year veteran of the information technology industry. He spent his entire working career at IBM Corporation holding several leadership positions in the Public Sector and Government business units. He began his career in IBM’s Federal Systems Division in Owego, NY in 1977. He led IBM’s US Federal sales organization during the mid 1990’s, and moved into IBM Global Services in 2000.
Most recently, Nyland was General Manager and Managing Partner of the Public Sector, managing a team of 5000 professionals that provide consulting and systems integration services to US Federal agencies, state and local governments, health care organizations and educational institutions. For the last 10 years of his career, he was also IBM’s senior location executive for the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Nyland has been active in the Maryland technology community for the past 18 years. He is the former chairman and currently chairman emeritus of the Technology Council of Maryland (TCM), a non-profit organization of over 500 Maryland based companies. He is also a former board member of the Maryland Business Roundtable, and he co-chaired the IT Division of the Maryland Governor’s Workforce Investment Board.
In addition to NSI, he also serves on the boards of Oculis Labs of Hunt Valley, MD., and Aurora Flight Sciences of Manassas, VA.
Nyland holds a Bachelor’s of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degree from Michigan State University and served on that university’s Eli Broad School of Business advisory board. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the University of Maryland Foundation.
President & CEO, Secureinfo Corporation
Christopher Fountain has over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry. His experience includes work with ERP, supply chain, content management, security and infrastructure software and services companies serving customers around the world and across many industries.
Fountain has operated as a senior executive and board member in privately held, venture backed companies for over 12 years. His assignments include CEO / COO roles leading global organizations. As a senior executive, he has successfully improved company operating performance and customer service levels. His experience includes raising capital from numerous venture capital funds and leading merger and acquisition transactions, creating successful liquidity events for shareholders. He also served as the vice president of sales for an ERP software company which completed an IPO in the mid 90’s.
Fountain currently serves as the president & CEO of SecureInfo Corporation, a leading cyber security company. He provides strategic direction to SecureInfo and is responsible for leading overall operations. During his tenure at SecureInfo he has built a highly effective management team that is focused on expanding upon SecureInfo’s success by maintaining a customer‐centric, results‐oriented culture.
Fountain graduated with honors (Cum Laude) from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in industrial & operations engineering. He was also a member of Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society.
